Dead Burglar’s Family Complain That The Victim’s AR-15 Made The Fight They Had ‘Unfair’

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A 23 year-old man is hitting headlines across America this week after he shot and killed three home invaders. Zach Peters took his AR-15 and opened fire on the three teenagers after catching them in his house. The teens had broke in and were robbing him.

Max Cook, 19; Jake Woodruff, 16 and Jacob Redfearn, 17, all died at the scene. But now one of the victim’s family is crying foul, saying the shootings were unlawful and unfair.

Jacob Redfearn’s gradfather Leroy Schumacher says his grandson made a huge life error but what happened was a tragedy. He didn’t deserve it, he says. “What these three boys did was stupid,” he told ABC News. “They knew they could be punished for it but they did not deserve to die.”

Schumacher goes on and explains that he doesn’t believe that it was a fair fight. Although he admits that his grandson broke into another man’s home, he says he didn’t get a chance to protect himself properly…. “Brass knuckles against an AR-15, come on, who was afraid for their life?!” he went on.

“There’s got to be a limit to that law, I mean he shot all three of them; there was no need for that,” added Schumacher.
