Two decades ago a young man from Brooklyn called Louis Wolfensohn moved out of home and disappeared. His family, including his distraught mother Rita, never saw him again. It was a strange disappearance as Louis had seemed happy at home. But that strange story was about to get even stranger…
His mother Rita is blind. She is also a hoarder. When Louis went missing, the house was crammed with garbage and furniture and various things that Rita couldn’t face throwing out. In the years since, it’s only got worse.
One day recently Rita was sick and a relative took her to the hospital. While she was there, the relative decided to try and sort the house out a little. During the clear-up they made a gruesome discovery… A body. It was Louis’. He hadn’t moved out. He’d died. Face down on a mattress, the skeleton of Rita’s sin lay. He had died in the house twenty years ago.
At the time of writing, police are yet to officially confirm that the corpse is that of Louis Wolfensohn, but – given the circumstances in which the body was found – it’s highly likely that it is.
What very strange and sad news…
Hoarding gone wrong. It happens. Here are more examples of it:
