He’s one of America’s greatest ever stand-up comics. A black man unafraid to broach the hot top topics of race, politics, religion… He’s Dave Chappelle and he’s BACK! After some time in the wilderness and a lack of TV chances, he was back recently hosting Saturday Night Live. And he was on amazing form.

His opening bit was on the money. Trump, Black Live Matter… The man covered all the big subjects with his trademark view on things. And hilarious jokes, of course… Here’s a taster:

‘You know, I didn’t know Donald Trump was going to win… I did suspect it. I know the whites, you guys aren’t as full of surprises as you used to be. It made me feel hopeful and it made me feel proud to be an American and it made me very happy about the prospects of our country.’

‘So, in that spirit, I’m wishing Donald Trump luck. And I’m going to give him a chance. And we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too.’

‘And white people were furious, Never seen anything like it. Haven’t seen whites this mad since the OJ verdict!”

. I haven’t seen this before… I watched a white riot in Portland, Oregon, the other night. The news said they did a million dollars worth of damage, all the black people were watching like, “amateurs”.’

‘But America’s done it, we’ve finally elected an internet troll as President.’
