Madison Square Garden Arena, New York City. UFC 205. Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman was left stunned and in a bloodied heap by Cuban challenger Yoel Romero on Saturday night.
A flying knee in the third and final round saw to Weidman’s chances and he was left with an enormous gash on his head afterwards.
After the fight Romero confronted exchange with weight division champ Michael Bisping, who was working for a TV company for the fight. He said this: “There’s an opportunity for the belt that God just finished opening. You know I’m the real champion, boy. You know me.”
Bisping replied by simply smiling and raising his middle finger. So we know who his next fight’s likely to be, then…
