Friends, family and fans of former four-weight world champion boxer Adrien Broner have been racked with worry over the past day or so after he indicated on social media that he was going to commit suicide. His Instagram feed makes for disturbing reading, but by all accounts the man is fine now.

Police were alerted after the fighter posted a series of strange posts that suggested that he was going to shoot himself. Captions like “I don’t want to be here no more this sh*t too much” and “I’m going home I love y’all”, alongside a photo of a gun worried many.

Broner is said to be safe and well now, but obviously concerns about his state of mind persist…

He didn’t do it, though. Adrien’s baby mama, Arie Nicole posted on Snapchat that the man’s okay.
