Mermaids. Mythical creatures or little-seen aquatic humanoids that really do exist? Well, most people’s first instinct would be to say that they’re made up – of course they are. But there are some people who might entertain the notion. ‘Cryptozoology‘ is a big business and many disputed ‘species’ have turned out to be real. Of course, many have turned out to be fake too, but that’s how it goes.
But the latest sighting of a mermaid has many stumped. Never has such a convincing specimen been found. The pictures below where taken by a man called Paul Jones in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England.
The body certainly looks legitimate, but it’s difficult to say with any certainty, of course. That it’s even an organism, we mean. That it’s actually a mermaid? Well, now, that does seem unlikely. Still, you never do, do you? It’s a good fake if it is one!
