A shocking video has emerged which shows a child being snatched from the back of motorbike by people traffickers in China. The boy was taken and bundled into a van after the motorbike rider, believed to be the boy’s mother, had slowed down in traffic. Another boy, the child’s brother, escaped capture.

The woman stopped the bike and gave chase, but the van was able to speed off before she could intervene. The video of the incident, which took place on August 27th, was originally posted on microblogging site Weibo.

200,000 children are kidnapped each year in China, and sold on to couples throughout the world. Only 0.1% are found and reunited with their families.
