Former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight has apparently come forward, via his criminal defense lawyer Thaddeus Culpepper, and told the world who killed rap icon Tupac Shakur. And furthermore, he claims the bullets that felled the man were supposedly destined for him.
According to a British newspaper, Knight submitted an official affidavit that blamed the ex-mogul’s former chief of security. Along with his ex-wife Sharitha…
“Knight has known for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight,” the declaration says.
Why now? Well, apparently it’s because a documentary is being released which tells a very similar story. ‘Tupac Assassination: Battle For Compton’ it’s called.
What makes this whole thing all the more confusing and bizarre is that Suge has since denied it and claims that the story – which appeared first in The Daily Mail – is all a lie. He’s now saying the whole thing is ‘fake news’. Which hardly helps clear up the story, does it?
Is he telling the truth? Why is he only just coming forward now with it? Sure, there’s the documentary, but he could’ve mentioned it before. And what’s up with him retracting the story? Is Suge Knight a liar? Or scared that he might be hit for real this time so he’s back peddled on his comments?
Damn, it’s a tricky story and we might never know the full truth… Here’s more on it all:
