Saturday night sees the much-anticipated UFC 205, with its highlight headline fight being Eddie Alvarez against Conor McGregor. It stands to be a huge brawl between two men who don’t much care for each other. And we saw more evidence of that at the press conference recently, when it kicked off big time.
The Notorious turned up twenty minutes late in a huge white fur coat and proceeded to steal Alvarez’s belt, swear at him and even tried to throw a CHAIR at the man…
McGregor then put down the chair and was escorted off stage. He returned shortly after with his hands up in peace and as he sat he wondered out loud, “I wonder how much a chair would have cost me?”
Alvarez then asked for an apology from McGregor for the comments he made about his wife and kids. The Irishman, in typically brash fashion responded very eloquently, saying that his opponent could “suck on these big Irish balls”.
McGregor went on to predict that he would “rearrange his face” and all in the first round. He said: “I think one round, if he can hold out. If he can drag it into the trenches, I’ll take my hat off to him but he’ll never be the same after if that is the case”.
There’s no love lost between these two. Check out what went down in these press conference highlights:
