In a series of SMS text messages sent to one of President Trump‘s top aides, threats against the incumbent head of state promise to kill and BEHEAD the billionaire. The anonymous encrypted texts claim to be from someone ‘acting on behalf of the lifeblood of Mexico‘, said to be an intermediary working for a number of drug cartels.
Donald Trump has only been confirmed as the next President of the United States a few hours and already he is dealing with his first crisis and threat. It’s thought that his people are keen to downplay the threat, but the communications are being taken seriously, with the Secret Service, FBI, Pentagon and DEA all having been informed already.
In the text messages, believed to be sent by someone working for both the Sinaloa and Juárez Cartels make explicit and specific threats and contain enough knowledge of Trump’s daily business as to cause real concern.
“This man who has bought his way to becoming American President will rue the day he used the dignity of the Mexican people to further himself,” one text reads.
“He will renounce his Hellish proposition to build such a wall. Or we will cut off the head of the snake,” another text reads.
Trump has long bashed Mexicans, using his idea of ‘building a wall to keep them out’ to gain early notoriety and popularity on his campaign trail. He’s called Mexican men ‘rapists’ too.
But it’s not just the idea that Trump doesn’t like people from Mexico which has seemingly drawn the ire of the cartels. It’s always about business. As it stands, President Obama is relatively weak on stopping cartel activity and imports. It’s not just cocaine, cannabis and meth which the cartels bring in. They’re starting to import heroin. And it could be worth BILLIONS.
Trump is outspoken about foreign trade as it is. Illicit foreign trade, specifically cartel drugs, is said to be ‘high on his list of priorities to stop’. Trump has previously said that the cartels need to be treated ‘like a foreign army and stopped dead in their tracks’.
Fierce rivals Juan Pablo Ledezma of the Juárez Cartel and Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman of the Sinaloa Cartel are thought to have put their differences aside briefly and hired a hit squad to make and, potentially, carry out the hit should Trump not back down on his promises to build a wall, impose huge sanctions on Mexico and shut down the cartels.
It’s also thought that vague threats were made against the safety of Trump’s daughter Melania Trump. How will the former Apprentice host react? This is the first test of his reign as President. Does he act characteristically bullish and respond with aggression? Or strike a secret deal with the powerful criminal outfits…?
