A woman who brutally murdered her daughter as she screamed “stop mommy!” has been beaten by inmates at the prison where she is serving a life sentence. Kathryn Smith, 23, was found guilty in April of murdering little Ayeeshia. Smith punched her daughter in the chest so many times that she literally tore the little girl’s heart open.
During the trial, it was revealed that neighbours could hear 21 month old Ayeeshia screaming “Stop mummy, stop daddy” whilst she was being beaten.
Smith is serving a 24 year sentence at Foston Hall Women’s Prison. Recently, two inmates confronted Smith on a stairwell at the prison, and savagely beat her whilst a crowd cheered her on. Eventually, guards separated the fight, but not before the woman took a good whoopin.’
A source inside the prison said:
“There had been a lot of talk about attacking Smith, but most people wouldn’t go through with it as they don’t want time added on to their sentences. But these two really went for it and left her in a bad way. No one had any sympathy for Smith. Some staff were saying, ‘What goes around comes around.’”
Justice was eventually served.
