Liberia, Africa. A country besieged and beset by the deadly Ebola virus. Contained in many other nations, Ebola unfortunately continues to ravage some areas of Africa. The deadly disease has claimed many lives, but it seems as though dying from Ebola might not be the end… Reports surfacing from Liberia suggest that now a THIRD person has seemingly come back to life after being confirmed dead from Ebola.

Are these real-life zombies? Well, they’re not technically ‘undead’. They’re very much alive. Medical examiners are stumped, but quick to point out that talk of a ‘zombie apocalypse’ is unhelpful. Their working theory is currently that the disease is now capable of aping death in a victim. It can mute pulse and breath and put a person in a death-like ‘stasis’. Doctors will confirm death and then, later, the person will ‘rise’.

Two cases in Liberia’s Nimba County had already been reported and the latest rumor is that this strain of the virus is different. Some are claiming that it is a weaponized version created and released by the US government.

The men have not been named, as to protect theirs and their families’ identities.
