Donald Trump is the new US President. You probably know that by now. The backlash has already begun and not only from Democrats, but plenty of his Republican colleagues are laying the boot in too. This time they’re – understandably – annoyed at his plans to renovate and change the White House.
Design Manager Angela Maxwell says this about Trump’s plans to alter the appearance of the famous building: “He says he’s not moving in until his name is in gold in front of the White House. He is also demanding to replace all the fixtures with gold in the Oval Office. There’s not much we can do about it.”
A Trump aid, close to the President-elect has said this about the controversial new plans: “Apparently he’s been planning this for the last year. The date on the blueprints goes back to October 2015. Trump gets what he wants, he always does.”
But most experts are predicting that his plans will be rejected out of hand.

The application has, apparently, been submitted and Trump is thought to want it all in place by the time of his inauguration on January 20th. Whether his plans will be approved or not is a different matter…
