Queensland’s Brisbane Valley, Australia. We head to an animal rescue farm called Barnyard Betty’s Rescue. It’s a place of refuge for all sorts of abandoned and lost animals. They take all sorts of creatures there… Including, as it is Australia, after all – SPIDERS. And their latest recruit? Perhaps the biggest spider ever found. The HUGE Huntsman is simply breathtaking, it’s so damn big. Seriously, you’re not gonna believe the size of this thing…
The woman who originally found the gargantuan Huntsman spider wrote this when she posted the creepy snaps online: “And here’s me meeting one of the neighbors. I don’t just rescue farm animals luckily for this magnificent girl! Can you believe someone wanted to kill this amazing creature!”
They’ve christened the thing ‘Charlotte’ (aw, how nice) and she’s well behaved, by all accounts. But it’s recognized that Charlotte is freakishly large. Her adoptive mother says this: “It’s not at all normal for huntsman to get this big”.
“She is a huntsman spider and we are located in Queensland, Australia, and yes she is very real and very large and not photo shopped!! I released her here on the farm after rescuing her so I can’t get any more photos or video of her, I’m sorry.”
“She was a beautiful, calm spider, not aggressive in any way and like most spiders she just wanted to go about her business eating bugs and living in peace.”
“She didn’t or doesn’t need to be killed! Poor spiders are so misunderstood! All creatures great and small are welcome here at Barnyard Betty’s Rescue a safe haven no matter how you look!”
Nope, nope, NOPE!
