Mixed martial arts isn’t great for your body. True, MMA fighters are – quite literally- ‘fighting’ fit. So they’re in great shape. But having another dude spend nine minutes pummeling your head and torso (y’know, where your brain and organs are kept) isn’t clever. It takes its toll. Just ask Cage Warriors Unplugged‘s featherweight champion, Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett.
Pimblett struggled to a controversial win over his opponent Julian Erosa by judges’ decision on Saturday. It was a decision a fair few people disagreed with. But that wasn’t what caused the stir. It was what happened in the interview afterwards. Pimblett vomited BLOOD everywhere during his post-fight interview.
Now, Pimblett has since come out to deny that it wasn’t blood that he was vomiting. He claims that he had had to lose a lot of weight the day before for the weigh-in and so was feeling a little weak. In order to get a bit of a sugar high, he says his team fed him some Ferrero Rocher chocolates and a big mug of hot chocolate.
Hey, maybe he’s telling the truth. Only it looks a little more red than brown to us…
This isn’t nice. So, y’know… Beware. Don’t watch this if you’re eating is basically what we’re saying.
