The old cliche tells us that dogs and cats don’t get on. Aggressive and superior, dogs chase cats, who never fight back.

However, as those of us who have owned the animals know, this is complete rubbish. Take this compilation of friendly dogs trying to play with grumpy cats. The dogs are not trying to attack the felines. Instead they just want to be friends. And the cats, far from running off scared, are getting more and annoyed by the pooches, to the point where they *do* fight back!

But, as us pet owners know, eventually the cats get used to their canine companions, and often strong friendships develop between them.
